Leading a healthy and physically fit life is not only beneficial to the individual. When we make time for physical fitness in our lives we set an example to those around us. In 1995 the American College of Sports Medicine determined that in the United States five times as many people die from physical inactivity as do from car wrecks. Physical fitness also gives you healthier bones, joints and muscles that will help you to keep leading an active lifestyle everyday. It also reduces chances of Osteoporosis, which is defined by the Medilexicon’s medical dictionary as “the reduction in the quantity of bone or atrophy of skeletal tissue and loss of normal skeletal micro architecture leading to increased susceptibility to fractures.”

Being physically fit is also linked to a better sex life. Being healthy increases libido for both men and women, and decreases the chance of impotence in men by 30 percent.
